Parkinson’s Park is the venue for three of the events run during The Tales Told Festival – 7th -15th July 2017. The Festival is run by Codswallop CIC and details of the full programme can be found here.
EVENTS
9th July 2017, 12 – 4pm – A Day In The Woods – An event for children to make dens, learn about birds and survival with Forest Found.
10th July 2017, 10 – 11am – A walk around Parkinson’s Park with Jennifer Kirkby to hear about the history we uncovered during the Heritage Lottery Funded, All Our Stories research. Meet by the Farm Gate.
15th July 2017, 7.30 -10pm – A lantern parade from Guiseley Theatre to the Park, where there will be stalls and entertainers. The event will end with a 10min fireworks display at 10pm.
We’d like to especially make people aware of the firework display on 15th July. We have alerted local farms and stables; White Cross Vets and Wharfedale Equestrian have kindly said they will tell their customers. And there will be a leaflet drop to surrounding houses. We’d be grateful if you could share this information with neighbours, particularly if they have pets or small children. Of course Codswallop would like to invite all families to attend the event so they can take part in a ‘magical evening’.
