The run up to Jubilee has started in the Park, and elsewhere. Yesterday, 21st May, Guiseley Lights installed the Jubilee display at the cross in Towngate, and the Natter Bench in the Park was yarnbombed by the clever Ladies of the ‘Yarns Well Spun‘ project run by Daisy Croft Crafts.

Lots more Park Jubilee decorations to come over the next fortnight with many Park Friends putting on their collaborative ‘creative’ hats to bring you their interpretation of cultural events over the seven decades from 1952 to 2022.
All the decorating will culminate in:
2nd June – St Oswald’s Church, Music for a Royal Occasion’ with the Choir, 12.15 pm .
3rd June – The Parkinson’s Park Big Jubilee Picnic 12.30 for 1pm .
4th June – Guiseley Methodists will be holding a Jubilee Tea 2-4pm .
5th June Guiseley Lights Jubilee Street Party Towngate 1 – 5 pm
So, get on your favourite ‘decade’ outfit, from 50s Teddy Boy drapes, to 90s Spice Girl specials and let’s have some fun.
