Where there's muck, there's ...................

As the democracies of Europe are castrated one by one, the financial system goes into meltdown, and with a Westminster ‘bubble’ who could not grow a row of carrots, let alone an economy, it’s now time to sing the praises of ‘the little people’.  The tax fodder and  abused motorists, who, over the last three months, have come together in an ancient concept, known to our ancestors as the English Common Wealth (aka today as the Big Society).  So, as Pudsey Landscaping work on the park in the dying days of 2011, we take time to thank all those who have got us this far:- Continue reading →

Work Begins 30th November 2011

Work on the Park will begin on the 30th November, weather permitting.  Initial work will be tidying up scrub, rubbish,  and starting work on the perimeter walls and gates.   This first phase of work will take around 4 weeks, so will last into the early New Year.  The work is to be carried out by Pudsey Landscaping.   Please, could you help us by mentioning this to friends and neighbours who use the Park or who live nearby.  We will be trying to inform as many local people as possible.

Discussing Ideas for the Park Restoration

We had our first site meeting with Bellway this morning to agree a plan of action on restoring the Park.  Bellway has said that work will start before the end of November,  and will progress in phases.

Bellway, Park Site Visit, 1st November

All Hallows, blessed us with beaustiful weather this morning for our site visit with Bellway.   The FOPP committee showed the Tehnical Director and Quantity Surveyors around the Park,  and feel they were suitably impressed with the ‘beauty’ of the site,  and it’s potential as a greenspace.   Bellway have agreed to tidy up and restore the Park as an ammenity for local people.  FOPP will be working with them over the coming months on this task.  We will also be consulting with people locally on what would make the Park more ‘useable’ and pleasant.  If you have any suggestions on this,  please leave them in the comments section below,  or contact one of the committee.
